DPWMA is proud to announce that during the December 2016/January 2017 holiday season, NO serious crimes have taken place within the Point Precinct. We herewith offer our sincere gratitude to our service providers and Metro Police for their contribution. The pressure is now on to maintain these service levels. Unfortunately other areas within Durban, including South Beach, saw a spike in crimes during the same period.
During the same period the road management plan was hugely successful, with continuous traffic flow throughout the Precinct. At present, the planned completion date for the rehabilitation of the sewer line along Mahatma Gandhi Road is October 2017, but further delays may occur due to unforeseen circumstances.
